A hot stick, also known as a high-voltage stick, live-line tool, or insulated stick, is a specialized tool used by electric utility workers and linemen to perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on live electrical equipment. It's designed to allow workers to safely manipulate switches, disconnects, and other components without having direct physical contact with energized conductors.
